Microwave-assisted catalytic degradation of plastics and other organic wastes.
研究概要
Plastic pollution has become a global environmental challenge, with massive plastic waste accumulating on land and in oceans, harming ecosystems. Traditional treatment methods struggle to fully degrade plastics, necessitating efficient and sustainable solutions. Microwave-assisted catalytic plastic degradation enables rapid and uniform heating, enhancing degradation efficiency while reducing energy consumption. This method also improves catalytic selectivity, minimizes by product, and promotes eco-friendly resource recovery. This study aims to develop a microwave-assisted catalytic process to select inorganic catalysts with excellent microwave heating performance and high selectivity so that they can treat organic waste such as plastics and lay the foundation for practical applications by clarifying the mechanisms involved.
