|研究概要||Hydrogen is promised an important future with a key role for a carbon-free society. However, it is often responsible for the degradation of strength properties of the material storing it, leading to limited storing capacity and safety issues.
The goal of the research is to increase the resistance of low-alloy steels to fatigue crack growth rate in hydrogen environment. Doing so will allow the design of safer and higher-capacity hydrogen storage containers. Improving the materials’ strengths will be done through microstructure refinement (ausforming process). This research will be the first to study fatigue crack growth properties in hydrogen gas on ausformed low-alloy steels.
