Title of the Research Research on the digital twin of building thermal environment utilizing digital transformation technology
Outline of Research Achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 requires significant efforts in urban and architectural sectors, particularly in accelerating energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings. This necessitates the development of advanced technologies and highly effective measures. To support this goal, there is a demand for high-precision and versatile numerical analysis tools compatible with cutting-edge technologies. This study aims to develop general-purpose software that realizes a digital twin of thermal environments using DX (Digital Transformation) technology, focusing on two main objectives:

  1. Development of an engine for building energy simulation (BES) that supports advanced technologies, including the development of a detailed mathematical model based on building physics and the construction of a coupled analysis method with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) (Figure 1).
  2. Integration of the BES tool with architectural design tools.
