|Title of the Research||Development of Advanced Computer Simulated Person for Indoor Thermal Comfort and Air Quality Assessment|
|Outline of Research||Many comprehensive evaluation methods for IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) using numerical analysis such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) have been proposed.
Also, the reproduction of human in indoor space is regarded as a key point to evaluate IEQ with high accuracy.
Against this background, the Computer-Simulated Person (CSP), which can treat specific characteristics of the human body, has been suggested as a “digital twin” for CFD simulation. However, previous research simplified or ignored the clothing on CSP and heat and mass transfer around cloth.
So, my research aims to develop a new CSP with clothing and advanced estimation method of IEQ. This research focused on the 3 major tasks: 1) To establish an advanced thermal comfort analysis method with clothing 2) Integration of developed CSP with the human airway model 3) To suggest energy-efficient HVAC control method using the developed CSP.
