Outline of Research |
Understanding the physical mechanism of turbulent transport in magnetized plasmas and suppressing it is essential for the realization of fusion reactors, which are expected to be the next generation large-scale power plants. In magnetized plasmas, microscopic turbulence coexists and interacts with macroscopic structures and flows, resulting in the development of non-locality. PLATO at the Research Institute of Applied Mechanics, Kyushu University is the first tokamak specific to turbulence measurements and has a lot of measurement ports. In this research, the role of non-locality in turbulent transport will be studied by using tomography measurement of the global structure and a newly developed composite probe array. |
