|研究タイトル||Addressing fuel starvation based degradation in polymer electrolyte fuel cells|
|研究概要||I am excited to be part of the movement that is bringing hydrogen based technology to society. It is inevitable that hydrogen based fuel cell vehicles will occupy a strong place in future society. For now, improving fuel cell durability and performance while also driving down costs remains to be the last technological obstacle before widespread adoption. The anode side of the fuel cell is especially prone to degradation due to fuel starvation, which occurs under extreme operating conditions.
I am currently working on reducing the anode degradation modes at high humidity operating conditions by developing novel catalyst and gas diffusion layers. Ideally, by using a reversal tolerant, non-platinum based catalyst and a surface modified Titanium mesh based gas diffusion layer, I hope to achieve low cost, high performance and durable materials for automobile fuel cell applications.
