Dr. Yoshihiro Yamazaki’s research focuses on the multiple length scale ion, electron, and electronic-hole transport characterization in metal oxides, energy materials, aiming for efficient solar to fuel and fuel to power conversions. Usage of machine learning and automated equipment makes it possible to transform the way to discover and develop new energy materials and devices in a very short period, which was impossible using a conventional trial-and-error approach. Taking advantage of such a scheme, we tackle the societal challenges of carbon neutrality and are looking forward to a carbon-neutral society.
