Title of the Research | Carbon Footprint Analysis of Japanese Wooden Houses |
Outline of Research | Global construction activities and associated electricity consumption account for 19% of total CO2 emissions. Most CO2 emission reduction measures in the Japanese residential sector are not focused on reducing CO2 emissions from the supply chain. To reduce CO2 emissions through the supply chain, it is necessary to identify CO2 emission hotspots in the supply chain structure. Therefore, this study estimates the supply chain structure of wooden houses, which account for 90% of detached houses in Japan, and identifies CO2 emission hotspots in the supply chain structure. |
