Global Energy Research Alliance Unit

This unit leads cooperative international activities with the world’s top universities, contributing to the establishment of a global alliance in the field of energy. In particular, the unit plays a leadership role in cutting-edge KAKENHI grant-aided research education in the areas of low-carbon and carbon-free energy.

 

 Formulation of graduate school research and education programs focusing on the integration of renewable energy and hydrogen energy

 ・Development of various technologies (materials)
 ・Analysis of system models for the era of expansion of renewable energy implementation, etc.

・Extension of MOU with the University of Hawaii, acceptance of short-term doctoral students, international joint research projects
・International joint research with the University of Illinois (USA)
・International joint research projects with the Renewable Energy Institute and a German think tank
・Competitive funds: Green Asia Int’l Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone Project of the Cabinet Office, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, etc.
